It's an intimate biography of the Trio, with extensive interviews with Mike and Chad, a forward by ‘almost’ CMT member and Trio friend, Tom Paxton, and the behind the scenes story of their first reunion in 1986 based on interviews with the musician who made it happen, Doris Justis. Originally released in 1961, this was the Chad Mitchell Trio's first album after their Carnegie Hall appearance with Harry Belafonte. Belafonte had taken the trio under his wing, and brought in his recording team including arranger Milton Okun, producer Bob Bollard, and engineer Bob Simpson. Also on hand, playing guitar and banjo, was a youngster who would soon change his name from Jim to Roger McGuinn. Enjoy traditional Irish tunes, Jewish folk, and a dose of humor (including Bob Gibson's Super Skier) on this fine folk album.
