Joy, Joy! the Young and wonderful Bob Gibson

Fantasy, 1996

A year after Bob's death this collection of early Gibson recordings was released on Fantasy Records. Joy, Joy contains much - but not all - of Bob's work on the Riverside label from 1956 through 1958. These cuts feature mostly Bob's banjo work but also introduce his first use of the 12-string guitar as well as the expertise of a number of outstanding back-up musicians.
