Hamilton Camp

CDs

Sweet Joy (2005) @ $12.00 each : In Stock
On sale! Normal price $15.00. This is Hamilton's final CD, recorded during the summer of 2005 and completed - including artwork - just days before his death. It's a beautiful mixture of folk, jazz and blues, with several carefully selected covers, a rerecording of his own folk classic Pride Of Man, some classic poetry set to his original music, and some poignant new original songs.

Musicians are Hamilton Camp, Paul Barrere, Ken Lyon and James Lee Stanley, who also produced.

Paths of Victory (1964) @ $20.00 each : Low stock
1964 debut album with seven Bob Dylan songs, many of which were the first recorded version of the song, his own classic, "Pride of Man", and the folk anthem "Get Together".

This CD is out of print, so don't wait if you want a copy!

Mardi's Bard (1999) @ $15.00 each : In Stock
His second to last solo album, released in 1999 after a gap of 13 years. It contains new original songs and new recordings of earlier songs including his 1967 hit Here's To You. My favorite here is the powerful final track, The Highway Is Here. Imported from UK!

Gibson & Camp

CDs

Homemade Music (1978) @ $12.00 each : In Stock
On sale! Normal price $15.00. Gibson and Camp reunite for their first album together in 18 years. Here they team up with old friend and musical colleague, Dick Rosmini. The album was created in Rosmini's home studio with Dick acting as producer, recording engineer, mixing engineer and photographer. Plus, he played all the back-up instrumentals. Thus the title, Homemade Music. It highlights not only Gibson's and Camp's own compositions, but those of Shel Silverstein, Steve Goodman and Michael Smith.
Gibson & Camp ... Revisited (1986) @ $15.00 each : In Stock
Bob Gibson and Hamilton Camp reprise the original Gate Of Horn, adding three songs that were always requested in their live shows. Includes their wonderful cover of Lightfoot's For Lovin' Me. (Folk Era CD-R)
Gibson & Camp at the Gate Of Horn (1961) @ $18.00 each : Temp. Out Of Stock
The original Gibson & Camp album on CD, from the live performance at the Gate Of Horn in Chicago. This is the classic album that influenced a generation of folk singers and singer/songwriters, including Gordon Lightfoot and The Byrds frontman Roger McGuinn. This album is out of print, and new copies are very hard to find. You might want to consider the "remake" of this album, ...Revisited, just above. Read more here.

Sixties Transition (2007) @ $15.00 each : Temp. Out Of Stock
An extraordinary CD with rare studio recordings from the archives of noted L.A. record producer and the father of the folk-rock sound, Jim Dickson (Byrds, Flying Burrito Brothers and others). Based on the rare Together Records album "Early L.A." the highlights include the first, never before released recording of the 60s peace anthem, "Get Together" by its composer, singer Dino Valenti (later of Quick Silver Messenger Service) and Hamilton Camp & The Byrds with a newly discovered 1965 studio recording of Dylan's "The Times They Are A Changin". Other tracks include a rare instrumental recording by David Crosby (The Byrds, CSNY) and jazz musicians Bud Shank and Joe Pass, "Charisma", other early Crosby recordings, Byrds recordings, and Hillmen recordings (with Chris Hillman), along with never before released bluegrass-rock recordings of the original Dillards. We are selling this CD here because of the extraordinary "new" Hamilton Camp recording.
