There's a Meetin' Here Tonight

Riverside, 1958

This was Bob's last album on Riverside before moving to the Elektra label. By the time this recording was made he had appeared as a regular on the Arthur Godfrey Show and was quickly developing a widespread following. Here he continues to feature gospel and traditional type songs with his innovative arrangements and upbeat style. This is also the time Bob introduces the 12-string guitar for which he would become so well known and influential.
